Just as our chief roving photographer had finished his physical therapy, and was having a senior decaf at Macs on Eldo (59 cents), 3rd Shift rolled up for a quick check of the premises. Local 505 fire fighters Mark Langston, Kyle Faulkner, Adam Ruderman, and Todd McKenzie receive "Heartland Heros" award for October house fire rescue. At the March meeting of the Local 505 retirees, Bob Sullivan presented former representative Bob Flider with a palque thanking him for his service to retired fire fighters. Our Local 505 World War II veterans were in attendance, Robert Warnick, Bob Corey, and Billy Williams.

WAND TV raw video of the house fire on 17th St. on Thursday afternoon. Fire fighter Jason Bruns received minor injuries when a piece of roof came down and struck him. Bruns expects to be back to work next day. Damage is estimated at $45,000. (start video with play button on lower left)
