The Illinois Fire Fighter Medal of Honor Awards Ceremony was held in Springfield on May 12th, 2011. Lt. M. Allen, Capt. T. McKenzie, and Lt. A. Ruderman were honored with the Firefighter Excellence Award for saving the life of a 15 month old baby at a rescue from a house fire last October. The 2nd picture is Chief Sekosky with ex-Decatur fire fighter and now Fire Chief of Springfield Fire Department, Ken Fuston. Chief Abbott also attended the ceremory.
