125th Anniversary
2009 is the 125th Anniversary of a paid fire department in Decatur, Illinois. (The voluteer department began in 1872). Note the lookout towers on the firehouses. Pictures of Decatur Fire Department's first firehouse, Station 2, Rowdy, and an old steamer. The remaining pictures are the horse drawn rigs from 1903.
