House fire at 1600 block East North Street at 4:57 p.m. Saturday, 1/29. Seven 1st Shift companies responded to the fire with damage estimated at $30,000. Five of the houses on the south side of the 1600 block of the street have been involved in fire in recently. /Rosenberry plowing snow.

Second shift responds to 3 fires in 24 hours on 1/15/11. Second shift responded to a basement bedroom house fire on W. Cerro Gordo,, a commercial building fire at Sav-A-Lot, and a trailer fire in Hyde Park on Saturday, January 15th. See WAND video.

Shopping with a fire fighter on December 18th. Several fire fighters and auxiliary members volunteered their time to take some children shopping at Walmart just before Christmas. The families received a supply of groceries and a shopping trip at Walmart.

Fatal fire at 327 S. Edward St. on a cold January 5th 23 years ago. This was a 3rd shift fire, and some of the personell included Louie Maxey, Rusty Harding, Bud York, Herb Younger, Les Lockwood, Larry Wadkins, Dale Penn, Rip Powell, Mark Allen, and Jim Summers. There was so much ice on one of the engines that it had to be left at the scene and thawed out the next day.
