| Decatur Fire Fighters Local 505 Union currently has 115 members. The city of Decatur has a population of almost 83,000, and a response area of over 50 square miles. The department responded to almost 8000 emergency incidents in 2005.

| Station 1 is located in the center of town. Station 1 houses Engine 1, Tower 1, and the Battalion Chief's Car. The
Administration and Fire Prevention are also based at Station 1. E1 is a 2007 Pierce Dash Pumper, T1 a 1994 Pierce Lance 100' Aerial.
S1 a 1998 4900 International Crew Cab with a Hackney Rescue Body, and is utilized for special operations. |

| Station 2 is located on the mid east side of Decatur, and
protects residential and industrial property, including Staley Manufacturing and Archer Daniels Midland. E2 and Truck 2 are stationed there. E2 is a 2001 Pierce Dash Pumper. Truck 2 is a 2006 Pierce Dash 75' Quint. Reserve T4 and the MABAS 46 Decon Truck are also at Station 2.

| Station 3 is located on the west side of the city, near Millikin University. E3 is a 2007 Pierce Dash Pumper. |

| Station 4 is located on the north east part of town and is in a residental and industrial area. Engine 4 is a 2001 Pierce Dash Pumper. Reserve E10, a 1991 Pierce Lance Pumper is also at Station 4.

| Station 5 is in the northwest end of town. Engine 5 is a 2001 Pierce Dash 75' Quint. |

| Station 6 is on the south side of town and houses Engine 6, 1994 Pierce Lance Pumper. Reserve E9 is a 1997 HME Leverne Reserve Pumper. |

| Station 7 is located in the far east end of town, and protects the east side of town, and the Decatur airport. Engine 7 is a 1994 Pierce Lance Pumper.
A new Striker airport crash/rescue truck was recently put into service and was used to extinguish a large aircraft fire in 2006. |
